Zagreb
Young people with and without disabilities from Turkey, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.
People with disabilities are very often treated like very limited and dependent on other peoples help, both in their personal and professional life. This is very disseminated opinion but in many cases it is not justified or correct. Intention of this project is to show that this is not true, that people with disability are independent in many things and situations and that they can have normal life like majority of population. On the other hand, of course, there are many situations when they need help and there are many things that need to be changed (starting with laws, architecture barriers, educational system etc.) to make their life better. Purpose of this youth exchange is to point out both good sides and bad sides of life with disability.
Activities will include different workshops on the topic, art day, acting and dancing day, sport day, day in the city, etc.
